People Offering SEO Services

An post to people offering SEO services

I received an unsolicited email (SPAM) this morning from someone offering me their SEO services for one of my websites.

The website they were referring to was my site for Sister Act Tickets. The email said, in a nutshell, that they have looked at my site, like the design and can see I’ve done some SEO work but the site still isn’t getting good rankings in the search engines. They can do some SEO for me blah blah blah.

To anyone that send these kinds of unsolicited emails, firstly DON’T. I didn’t ask you to email me, I didn’t give you permission, I do not know you, I have never contacted you, you are a SPAMMER. All you are doing is giving genuine SEO companies/engineers, call them what you will, a bad name.

Secondly, if you can see that I have done some SEO work you can surely see that the search term I am targeting with this site is “sister act tickets”. You should then be able to see that if you type “sister act tickets” (without the quotes, or with) in to Google the website is already on the front page of results.

Yahoo, top three. Bing, first position.

So, Shelly Martin and anybody else doing the same – stop now!

Hi Wayne,
I came to your site because I too have received an email from Shelly Martin this morning. Same deal: “Your website design is really good and its also shows that you have done some SEO work on your website also, but still you don’t have any good ranking on search engines.” OK, so it’s not perfect, but I’ve got few #1 and #2 rankings for some of my main key phrases. I agree totally with what you say.

Hi David

Thanks for your comments. I actually get quite a lot of emails offering seo services but this one really made me laugh because of saying that I don’t have good search engine rankings when I do. Most of them just say something along the lines of “we can do your seo”.
