As you may have noticed I have changed the theme of this site.
The current theme is now the excellent Thesis theme, with a couple of minor changes.
The Thesis theme is more than just another WordPress theme.
Thesis uses hooks much like WordPress itself but with the Thesis theme hooks you can make changes to your site design by removing some of the standard functions, changing the position of various elements of your blog or adding your own code/pictures/videos etc. to various positions on your site relatively easily.
Thesis also comes with a whole load of options accessible from your WordPress admin area including things like selecting which items to display, colour selection, nav bar items and order etc.
I have made a couple of minor changes so far which include tweaking the footer and adding links to my social profiles to the sidebar.
To edit the footer I made use of the Thesis hook system and I will post instructions on how to do this and any other changes I make shortly.
