Clay Pigeon Shooting

A few days ago during the Christmas break I went clay pigeon shooting for the first time with my Brother-in-Law.

I borrowed first my Sister-in-Law’s gun and then my Brother-in-Law’s (Beretta), both of which were 20 bore, although the Brother-in Law does own a 12 bore as well.

It was a bit of a cold day but I soon warmed up walking around the woods.

It’s the first time I’ve ever shot anything other than an air rifle and I was actually well happy with how I got on.

In total we shot 105 cartridges I think it was of which probably around 60% or more were mine.

I wasn’t counting the hits but I did hit a fair few and all different types as well – from left to right, right to left, along the ground, coming towards me and going away from me.

It was really good fun and it’s definitely something I would do again.

Cheers Andy :-)
